FUE hair transplant:

FUE (Follicular Unit Excision), hair transplant surgery involves removing individual hair follicles and transplanting them onto a part of your scalp that is thinning.

Follicular Unit Transplantation is one of the two options. FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) is the other. FUE treatments are becoming more popular due to their faster recovery times and hair transplant results.

FUE surgery is a procedure that involves moving hairs from the sides and back of the head to the balding areas such as the crown or receding hairline. These hairs will continue to grow over a 6–12 month period. This results in naturally-grown hair that looks rejuvenated.

The patient is still under local anesthesia. Our top surgeons will remove each hair follicle separately once the patient is unable feel any sensation.

Specialist sub-millimeter techniques are used to reintroduce the hair follicles. These are then punctured on the areas that will receive the transplanted hair. Next, the surgeons will apply an artistic touch to the procedure. They must consider hair density, depth, angulation and direction in order to create a natural look.

Dot-like scarring less than one millimeter in size appears around the donor area, where hair was removed. Once the hair is grade 1, or 2, these FUE scars will not be visible.

The transplanted hair will begin to shed in the first 3 months. It will then grow back in the next 4-12 months. This is when you will see the full results.

FUE hair transplants can last up to 20 years if the hair is removed from an area that has not been affected by hair loss.
