Great candidates for extraction of follicular units
FUE hair grafts usually offer the best results if:
- You want your hair to be very short. FUE hair transplants don’t leave a scar.
- Having had poor results from previous procedures, and want to conceal scarring or get better results.
- You may have a tight hairline, which could make you unsuitable for FUT.

- Hair care products should not be used
- Get a healthy morning breakfast
- Avoid caffeine-containing beverages such as coffee and tea
- Comfortable clothes are recommended as you will be lying down for most of the day.
Procedure for Extraction of Follicular Units
Each follicular units is removed from the donor region using a small round punch. The grafts are then placed in the balding or thinned area.
After the procedure
The local anesthetic used to extract the follicular units does not require hospitalization. After-care instructions will be provided by your hair transplant surgeon. These include what medications and antibiotics you should use and any restrictions regarding diet and activity.
Patients can often return to work in 2-3 days.
