What is FUE hair transplant?

FUE (Follicular Unit Extract) is the process of removing healthy hair follicles, usually from the back or sides of a head, and re-implanting them in the bald or thinned area.

We use the most advanced hair restoration techniques that are minimally invasive. This allows us to create natural-looking results with quicker recovery times and minimal scarring. Patients can now wear their hair as long as they like in the future, without worrying about scar tissue.

You will be given a local anaesthetic to numb your whole scalp. A mild sedative will be given to you so that you can relax and unwind. Your surgeon will then extract hair follicles from the donor areas of your head, which are usually the back and sides.

FUE punch trumpet, a micro-instrument specially designed for hair extraction, is used. These tiny puncture holes are usually between 0.6 and 0.8mm in size. They heal much faster and are almost invisible. Each graft contains 1-4 hair follicles. These are then replanted by making small incisions in the areas of your scalp that you desire to see more hair growth.
