About clinic:

Surgery Group is an independent, small team of patient coordinators. It was established in June 2015 and has continued to evolve.

Surgery Group, hair transplant UK, is able to offer their services and locations together with the help of forward-thinking surgeons.

We, Manchester hair clinic, will answer any questions you have about your consultation, and give you the answers to those you don’t know the answers to.

Our mission is to Keep it Simple for both you, the patient, and the skilled physicians with whom we work. We only take on a few patients per week and don’t overburden anyone. Every patient receives a personal service as well as a patient coordinator.

We are proud that we work with some the best surgeons in the UK. This means we can always provide the most cost-effective and direct route for those seeking cosmetic procedures or hair transplants.

FUE:

To extract complete follicular units, the surgeon uses a special punch device with a diameter of 0.6mm to 0.9mm. This allows the surgeon to separate the surrounding tissue from each unit, minimizing trauma and scarring. It also improves hair transplant results. The grafts are then carefully placed in the recipient area. The scarring from the procedure is minimal and you can keep your hair as long as you want.

FAQs

Q How long will my procedure take and does it hurt?

Most procedures take between 4-8 hours, depending on how many grafts are involved and the complexity and plan. One thing is certain. We don't rush you and only take one patient at any given time, so your procedure will be as thorough as possible.

The procedure is very painless. Before we start, the surgeon will administer local anaesthetic to your scalp. To numb the scalp, we use baby needles before using the main needles. This ensures that the main injections are not painful and no one starts to cry. This will be easy for anyone who has ever had a tattoo. It is possible to feel a little raw in the donor area, but this usually disappears within a few days.

Q When will I see my transplant results and how long do they last?

Each person heals differently, but you should feel some fuzz in the hair after 3 months. Most of the hair should appear after 6 months. You may feel a little underwhelmed by the growth after six months. However, you will see continued improvements over the next year. It's impossible to implant the same amount of grafts as you were born with. This is why it's so important to set realistic expectations and not fall for sales pitches.

Transplanted hair will grow for the rest of your life. The permanent area at the back of your hair is where we take donor grafts.

Q How many grafts do I need and how many hair transplants?

Two hairs are usually included in a graft. Sometimes, there is just one hair in a Graft. Other times, there are three.
On average, you will get 2.1 hairs per transplant. Don't be fooled.

The transection rate is an important aspect of hair transplants. This is the percentage that was damaged in the process of extracting the grafts. If the transection rate is higher than 2%, we stop the extraction and reexamine our techniques and instruments to make sure that each precious graft is protected.

There will be no more than two hairs per graft. Despite what you might have heard

One procedure should be sufficient. The transplanted grafts are permanent, but they won't stop your hair loss. It is important to discuss ways to maintain your existing hair. Long-term support is included to assist you in managing any hair loss.

Q Do I need to shave my head?

FUE patients must shave their backs in order to accurately extract the grafts. Although you don't need to shave in the recipient area, it makes it easier to place grafts.

You don't need to shave your hair if you have FUT surgery.

Q When do I meet my surgeon?

Before booking your hair transplant, you will have the opportunity to speak with your surgeon. To ensure everything is in place before your surgery, we will work with the medical team to create a detailed treatment plan. Do not book a hair-transplant without speaking with the surgeon.
