Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) Hair Transplant

FUE hair transplant surgery is innovative, virtually scarless, and quick downtime: The most popular method for men is FUE hair transplantation. FUE hair transplants are offered in the best Harley Street London clinics. Our surgeon Dr Malkani, is one of the most skilled FUE surgeons within the UK. FUE is minimally invasive and takes very little time to recover. Patients can also keep their hair as long as they like in the future. We specialize in FUE (non-shaved) and body hair transplants. To supplement the donor area, body hair can be used. Hair is typically removed from the back or chest. For those with very long hair at their back, unshaven FUE can be used. It can cover a small area. You can save time shaving by using this technique. 1. Follicular Hair Excision (FUE) involves shaving the donor area to grade 1, removing healthy hair follicles from the back of your head, and then placing them in the balding or thinned area.
2. The grafts are then separated, sorted, counted, and categorised before being transplanted to the recipient areas. This could include just the frontal hairline, top or crown areas, as well as beard, eyebrows, burn-induced scars, or injury.
3. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. After the scalp has been numbed, individual hair follicles/grafts can be extracted using a 0.9mm (or sometimes 0.8mm) punch mounted on a HIGHLY SOPHISTICATED motorised machine. These follicles can then be grafted/implanted onto the recipient area using small incisions using micro blades and 20G needles.
4. This procedure requires a lot of patience, attention to detail, perfection, and patience from the surgeon as well as his assistants. FUE takes an average of 6 hours and patients are discharged the same day.
5. The recovery time for Strip Surgery is much shorter than that of Strip Surgery. 90 % do not need more than Paracetamol for 24 hours. Most people can return to work within a few days depending on what type of work they do. As long as there is no strenuous activity involved, it is possible.
6. You must take good care of transplanted hair during the first two weeks. Two weeks is the minimum time that grafts can be fully integrated and provide new blood supply and nutrition. You can resume your normal hair care routine after this period.
